Our Story/ Company History

Champion 40A Inc started out as lead generation company screening potential mortgage applicants for qualification and interest. After a few years Viola noticed a percentage of applicants being transferred who were pre-qualified and applying for a loan were getting denied. Out of those denials a significant amount of them were minority borrowers. Viola began to research this phenomenon and found that 1 in 4 mortgage applicants are denied every year and of those denials minority borrowers are denied mortgages a DOUBLE the rate of other borrowing populations so she set out to fix this problem. Champion 40A became added a brokerage to turn those edge case denials into approvals.

Through the brokerage she found that the technology used to gather and process the application did nothing to mitigate or correct these denials and the tools at the lender’s disposal was time consuming, expensive and very manual. This is when the 40A system was born. With the software we are giving the power to loan officers to say yes to more applicants and increase their revenue.
